Meet Mr. Marrowworth!!!
Legend says this bear was once kept in an old Victorian manor on the outskirts of a forgotten Mississippi town. When the last owner passed, the house stood untouched for decades. Locals claimed the bear guarded the place, its stitched body protecting the spirit bound within its gilded skull. Every year near winter, the bear was said to appear in a different window, watching the street below as if waiting for someone who never returned. Rescued from that abandoned home and restored piece by piece, this creature now carries the charm of antique folklore and the eerie elegance of a relic with a history all its own.
This one-of-a-kind 33-inch creature started life as a vintage teddy bear, then was fully refurbished and transformed into a unique art piece. The original plush body was restored and reinforced, and the face was replaced with a hand-finished skull design featuring gloss-black eyes and gold-toned detail. The collar is made from layered black and red florals and textured fabric for a dramatic, gothic look.
He sits at 26 inches wide and makes a bold statement as decor, a collector’s piece, or a standout holiday display. A removable Christmas hat can be added for a seasonal touch.
Created by Ragged Doll Company, this piece is one of one and priced at $70. Available now at Relics in Tupelo, MS.
